Let's do this!

I better post something to get this started again. We will see how long it lasts this time :)

Since we've been on the topic of the liver lately, here are some things I've tried this past week:

Eating better:

Oats and flax seed are great for the liver so I tried these overnight oats for breakfast with the recipe here,  We tried the peanut butter chocolate one and the banana chocolate chip.  We liked the banana one best.  It was definitely a heavy breakfast but at least I was feeling healthy eating flaxseed. :)

We also made fried rice with cauliflower this week with a similar recipe here.  It was a delicious! cauliflower is liver healthy. We actually just made Marcus's own fried rice recipe and added cauliflower to the rice.  We didn't want to scare the kids away from it.

I also ate a couple apples this week (which is also listed on good foods for the liver). Yay for me! I usually don't like apples.

I also bought turmeric. It's good for the liver as well. I added it to some scramble eggs this week and couldn't taste much of a difference, but an easy way to eat some.

Castor Oil:

I got myself some castor oil recently and have been using it for multiple things.  It is supposed to help scarring, so since I got my face lasered recently I've been putting it on all over my face.  And since I haven't been wearing makeup for the past 3 weeks I've put it on my eyelashes each night and they've gotten thicker and longer!

You can also use castor oil to help get rid of sebaceous cysts.  This next link lists castor oil among a lot of other things to try to get rid of them:

We should each try something different and let then let each other know if anything helped. I might even try the potato. Marcus will laugh. :)

While it's great for skin and hair here are a couple links for how to use castor oil for your liver:

I did my first castor oil pack last night. It recommends doing it 3 days in a row each week for a month.  I guess what I would be looking for is cysts to shrink?  What are other benefits of a detoxed liver that I would be aware of to know if it's working? More energy? I hope! I'll let you know if I notice anything.

Charcoal:

I also bought some charcoal for my original purpose of making a facial mask to help with blackheads for the kids and I, but another use is for General Detox. I haven't tried either yet because I just got it yesterday. :) It also had other uses as well.

I will let you know if I see any changes from any of these!
